In this guide, we shall go over the fox den locations in Ghost of Yotei and discuss the rewards you get for finding them.
Ghost of Yotei brings back the beloved fox dens you saw in Ghost of Tsushima, but now they’re better than ever. Instead of blindly following a fox, you now get to partake in mini stories involving the foxes. Each fox you find has its own personality. One wants you to look out for its friends, another is scared of masks, one more is simply obsessed with getting pets, and so on.
They’re all a joy to meet, but finding them is easier said than done. They’re hard to find if you don’t have a keen ear for their purrs. If you’re having trouble finding the fox dens, this guide is here to help.

All Fox Den Locations in Ghost of Yotei
Yotei Grasslands Fox Dens
| Fox Den | How To Find | Reward |

| Lake View Fox Den | Directly south of Lake Shikotsu. You’ll find a singular red tree among a field of green trees. Approach this tree to find the fox. The fox will lead you to a trapped fox you need to free, after which the duo will take you to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of Uncanny Aim: Quickfire weapon damage increased by a moderate amount. |
| Flowing Water Fox Den | North of Tranquil Falls. You’ll find a fox by a cliff. Follow the fox up the cliff and clear the path of bamboo trees for it. It will then lead you to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of Assassin’s Resolve: All types of assassinations grant a minor amount of additional spirit. |
| Grassy Hill Fox Den | At the base of the Golden Foothills. The fox will lead you to a settler who needs help. Help the settler climb out of the pit, and the fox will then lead you to the shrine. | Charm of Brutal Volley: Increase damage of thrown melee weapons by a moderate amount. |

Ishikari Plains Fox Dens

| Fire Fox Den | North of the Ishikari Fork. Head to this location and you’ll spot a large fire. The fox sits between the flames. Help the fox escape, and it will lead you to the shrine. | Charm of Resolute Victory: Standoff victories earn additional spirit per enemy killed. |
| Twin Path Fox Den | North of Nakagoya Spring, and south of White Deer Woodlands. The fox will give you a tour of the forest, showing you masks it is afraid of. At the end, it will take you to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of Enduring Resolve: Abilities that use spirit have a minor chance to regain 1 spirit. |
Tokachi Range Fox Dens
| Fox Den | How To Find | North of Shizunai Woods, and south of the musician’s camp. The fox will lead you through a cave and into the cliffside. You’ll find some enemies at the end, which you then have to kill. The fox will then take you to the shrine. |

| Warm Plains Fox Den | South of Yubari Lake, west of a Saito Encampment, and north of the Dead Man’s Tree. The fox will lead you to a few items and wants pets as rewards. Follow the fox, collect the items it leads you to, pet it for being a good boy, and it will take you to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of Archer’s Fortune: A moderately increased chance to recover arrows that kill or miss their target. |
| Whispering Fox Den | North of Shizunai Woods, and south of the musician’s camp. The fox will lead you through a cave and into the cliffside. You’ll find some enemies at the end which you then have to kill. The fox will then take you to the shrine. | Charm of Swift Reward: Enemies killed in a standoff have a minor chance to drop throwable weapons. |
Nayoro Wilds

| Clear Water Fox Den | Head north from where the Kankan Creek meets the Nupur River. Stick to the west side of the river to find a unique black fox. The fox will lead you to a few traps, and eventually to the Ainu who set those traps up. | Charm of Generous Opponents: Chance to recover quickfire ammo when looting the dead. |

Teshio Ridge Fox Dens
| Fox Den | How To Find | Reward |

| Winding River Fox Den | Along the Teshio River, directly east of Ran’s Workshop. The fox will lead you to his trapped friend, which you then need to save. The duo will then take you through the snow to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of Opportunity: Automatically loot assassinated enemies. |
| High Wall Fox Den | Southeast of Master Enomoto’s Dojo, and directly south of the Sarufutsu River. You’ll find a few enemies bothering the fox here. Kill the enemies, and the fox will then lead you to another friend. This fox is trapped in a cage. Kill the entrappers to free the fox, and they’ll then lead you to the shrine. | Charm of Lingering Shadows: Reduce enemy detection speed by a minor amount. |

Oshima Coast Fox Dens
| Fox Den | How To Find | Reward |

| Blushing Forest Fox Den | North of Matsumae Castle. Follow the fox and you’ll hear gunshots. Protect the fox from the culprits, and it will take you to the Inari Shrine. | Charm of the Prepared: The Tanegashima reloads while stowed. |
| Sanctuary Grove | Head to Sarufutsu Lighthouse. You’ll find six fox statues, three on each side. On each wall, there’s a small fox statue with two big statues on either side. Make the two big statues face the small statue to unlock the small statue. Do this for both walls. Place the two unlocked small statues on the empty pedestals in front of you to unlock a secret door. This will lead you to a Nine Tails hideout, but all members are dead. Save the trapped fox in the hideout, and it will lead you to a sanctuary. | Inari’s Cunning MaskGuardian of the Inari Trophy |
