Ezo’s decline has surged crime across Ezo in Ghost of Yotei, and Black Powder Ippei is a criminal who has quickly risen up the ranks to earn infamy. While he may seem like a mere thief on paper, it is Ippei’s ties with the Saito Outlaws and his cowardly means of killing his targets that have landed him on the bounty board.

Ippei fights from a distance, using black powder as a means to kill people. Your job is now to put the criminal to rest once and for all, and if the task seems difficult, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall walk you through the Black Powder Ippei bounty in detail.

How To Begin Black Powder Ippei Bounty in Ghost of Yotei

You can acquire the Black Powder Ippei bounty from the bounty board outside Yotei’s Shadow Inn in the Yotei Grasslands. Head to the Yotei’s Shadow Inn and you’ll spot a bounty board right before the entrance. Kojiro sits by this bounty board, so it is impossible to miss. Interact with the bounty board and you’ll find a bunch of posters on it. Select the poster of the bald man with the black mask. This is Black Powder Ippei’s poster.

How To Complete Black Powder Ippei Bounty in Ghost of Yotei

Once you collect Black Powder Ippei’s poster, it is time to begin the hunt. Information from Ippei’s poster reveals that the thief was last seen south of the Windy Meadow, so that’s where you need to go. Open your map, and you’ll spot the Hilltop Watchtower directly under the Windy Meadow marker. Head to this location.

When you reach the location, you’ll find yourself in the midst of a battlefield. A few Ronin are fighting Saito Outlaws, with Ippei raining down mortars on the Ronin. If you’re not on a horse already, quickly mount your horse. Do not run through the field on foot, as you’re an easy target for Ippei. Use your horse to rush to Ippei’s location and begin your attack.

Black Powder Ippei is surrounded by a few Saito Outlaws so you’ll have to deal with them first. This bounty gives you no opportunity for stealth, so be prepared for a proper fight. Kill all the Saito Outlaws to isolate Black Powder Ippei. Then, finish off Ippei when he’s all by himself to complete the bounty.
