Crafting ammo is another new feature in Ghost of Yotei that was notably absent in Ghost of Tsushima. In the first game, you could only use a few blow darts, bombs, half bows, and long bows to take down enemies from a distance. Ammo variety was limited and could often be looted from the remains of enemies or purchased from merchants and vendors.

In the sequel, Atsu is much more crafty and resourceful. It is worth noting that this is also a different age, and firearms are now available at her disposal. Ammunition is scarce, but with the right setup, ingredients, and materials, you can craft whatever you need at a campfire.

To craft ammo in Ghost of Yotei, you must first set up camp. The lands of Ezo are vast and wide, and you can set up camp to pass the time, play music, cook food, meet fellow travelers, or craft ammunition. Atsu can craft different arrows for her bow, bullets for her rifles, and even throwables.

Here is a brief breakdown of how you can start crafting ammo in Ghost of Yotei:

  • Find a quiet place to settle down and set up camp.
  • Look for the ‘Craft Ammo’ option on the screen.
  • This will open another menu to view all of your crafting options.

From there, you can craft whatever you need as long as you have the right materials. For arrows, you will need the following:

  • Sake
  • Bamboo
  • Metals

For Atsu’s guns, you will need:

  • Gun Powder
  • Metals
  • Textiles

Where To Find More Resources?

If you are low on resources for crafting ammo, we recommend hunting down more of Lord Saito’s men lurking all over Ezo. You can breach different strongholds and find more materials that can be used for crafting ammunition and even consumables. Oftentimes, you will also find ammo in camps, which could save you time from crafting your own and help you stock up for future encounters.
