This Ghost of Yotei walkthrough will take you through the Junpei the Snatcher bounty, one of the harder bounties in the game.
Ghost of Yotei has a ton of bounties for you to take on, but Junpei the Snatcher is one that sends shudders down your spine. Junpei is someone who captures, tortures, and murders samurai. He’s a relentless murderer, and the only way to get rid of him is to take on this risky bounty.
Junpei the Snatcher is a fairly challenging bounty filled with twists and turns. You have to fight a ton of enemies along the way, and if any part of this bounty is giving you trouble, our guide is here to walk you through it.
How To Begin Junpei The Snatcher Bounty in Ghost of Yotei
You unlock this bounty after completing the Way of the Odachi quest and speaking to Master Yoshida after that. Once you’ve acquired the bounty, you can then trigger it by making your way to the Boar’s Eye Cave in Tokachi Range. This cave is east of Horasaru Falls and west of Niikappu Falls. Once you approach this cave, you’ll find a man standing by the entrance. A cutscene will automatically trigger, kicking off the bounty.

How To Complete Junpei The Snatcher Bounty in Ghost of Yotei
Walk up to the man by the cave entrance, and he’ll ask you to state your business. He’ll then reveal that he is here for Junpei the Snatcher and believes Junpei is inside the cave. The man will then give you a bit of lore exposition on Junpei, and then suggest teaming up to take Junpei down and split the bounty.
Before you can answer, he’ll head into the cav,e so you have no choice but to follow. Follow the Ronin inside the cave, and he’ll declare that he knows you from somewhere. Walk with him for a bit long,er and he’ll realize that he knows you from a bounty poster. He’ll then turn on you, and you have to kill him.
Once the Ronin is dead, continue on inside the cave. You’ll then find an exit that’ll lead you to the top of a cliff, to Suspicious Thicket. There are a few enemies here, so use the grass to hide and pick them off. Once they’re dead, head to the other end of this a,rea and you’ll find a ladder leading to another section.
Drop down the ladder, and you’ll have to kill a gauntlet of enemies along the way. Kill them and continue down the linear corridor till you reach a room with cages. You’ll find a Matsumae soldier tied up here. Free the soldier and escort him back up the way you came.Once you emerge upstairs, the man will be shot out of nowhere, and Junpei will reveal himself, backed by two soldiers. Kill Junpei and his men to complete this bounty.
