The Ghost of Yotei Mt. Yotei Ultimate Guide is designed to help you get the most out of everything that is available in this location. Apart from the Yotei Shrine atop the mountain and the charms left by Atsu’s parents there for the siblings, there are a few other items that the game rewards you for your tiring climb. You also pick up various resources like flowers and ores, making the location quite worth the time it takes to explore.

The following points of interest are available at Mount Yotei in Ghost of Yotei:

The Shrine At The Top

  • Mother’s Charm – Increases arrow damage by a minor amount.
  • Father’s Charm – Perfect Parries provide a minor amount of health.

Once you reach the top after an arduous climb, go and bow in front of the shrine (swipe down on the touchpad) to get the two charms.

Pillar Of The Fallen

  • Starlight Abyss (weapon kit) – Uses the colors blue and white, and is based on the starry night.

While facing the Shrine, go right. Make sure you are not veering left or right into the slope on either side. You will be able to notice a pillar in the distance. It will take a minute or so of Atsu running to reach the Pillar of the Fallen. Press R2 to collect the weapon kit’s cosmetic.

Altar Of Reflection

  • New Technique Unlock

The Mount Yotei Altar of Reflection is situated at the centre of the mountain’s crater. Go down the slope however you prefer and go up to the point of interest. Once there, bow (swipe down on the touchpad). You will get the option to unlock/learn a new technique.

  • Gold Ore – I found only one right at the beginning of stepping into this location. Once you cross the bridge and jump across the two tree branches, go right towards the waterfall. The ore should be there.
  • Copper Ore – Found at several points
  • Hydrangea – Found at several points
  • Coins – Found at several points

How To Reach Mt. Yotei in Ghost of Yotei?

Mt. Yotei is available through the Mount Yotei Shrine in Ghost of Yotei found on the left side of the Yotei River. You first hear about the shrine and the charms in it from Atsu’s parents in a flashback at Atsu’s childhood home. The location is marked by a Torii Gate on the map.

Once there, it is more or less a linear path to the top of the mountain. A few things that you should keep in mind:

  • Use your grappling hook (press X to jump and R2 to use the hook) to traverse gaps or get up on ropes
  • The slopes with loose rocks can not be traversed. You will have to make your way around or over them. Snow can be traversed upon.
  • Direct your camera properly. Otherwise, Atsu may fail to grab the ledge or branch and thus fall to her death.

How To Get Down From Mount Yotei in Ghost of Yotei?

There will be a short wooden pole to the right of Mt. Yotei Shrine at the top from which you can grapple to the entrance of the shrine.
