PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions has finally revealed a confirmed release date for the highly anticipated follow up to Ghost of Tsushima – Ghost of Yotei. Surprisingly enough, the game is coming much sooner than many might have anticipated. Developed as a direct sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei is an open-world action-adventure game set in 1603, roughly 300 years after the events of the previous game. The game sees players step into the shoes of Atsu as she sets out on a revenge-fueled journey across Yotei. The newly released trailer gives us a glimpse at the game’s primary antagonists – the Yotei Six, as well as some of the events that lead Atsu on the path of vengeance.

When Is Ghost of Yotei Releasing?
Ghost of Yotei is scheduled to be released on October 2, 2025. The game is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. At the time of writing this article, PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions has not revealed any plans for a potential PC version. In addition to that, PlayStation has also confirmed that pre-orders for the game will begin on May 2, 2025. Similar to other PlayStation first-party titles, Ghost of Yotei will be offered in two different editions digitally – Standard and Deluxe. Furthermore, there’s also a Collector’s Edition (CE), which will come with the Deluxe Edition, a replica display edition of Atsu’s Ghost mask, as well as other physical goodies.
Unfortunately, Ghost of Yotei’s CE won’t include a physical copy of the game or a Steelbook. Instead, the Collector’s Edition will include a digital copy of the game’s Deluxe Edition. The Collector’s Edition will be available exclusively via PlayStation Direct that too in a select few regions only.
Ghost of Yotei Editions and Pricing
Ghost of Yotei comes in a Standard and a Deluxe Edition bundle, digitally. The Standard Edition of the game is priced at $70, whereas the Deluxe Edition is priced at $80. However, for $10 extra, you get access to the Snake’s armor set and alternate dye for your starting armor. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition also includes a unique horse color, unique saddle dye, Charm, gold Sword Kit, and an early unlock of Traveler’s Maps. Lastly, there’s also a pre-order bonus for the game. The pre-order bonus includes exclusive PSN avatars for players to use for their PlayStation Profile. Pre-ordering also grants you access to an in-game mask.
More details on the game and its various editions will be revealed on May 2, 2025, when the pre-order goes live.
