You can get several bounties in the Ishikari Plain, one of them being Toshi The Torch Bounty in Ghost of Yotei. As with all other bounties, this one involvs fighting an elite enemy at the end. So, make sure you’re prepared for a relatively tough fight before approaching the location of the bounty. With that in mind, here’s a detailed guide on how you should proceed, including the bounty starting point.

How To Start Toshi The Torch Bounty in Ghost of Yotei

To begin the bounty quest, head to the Ishikari Market and locate the bounty board here. Interact with the board to pick up the poster, containing information about Toshi the Torch. As per the poster, the target was last spotted inside a cave on the northern coast of Otaru Beach. The beach lies south west from your current location at the Ishikari Market. Open the map and select Toshi the Torch bounty on it. this will make it easier to find the cave, as the guiding wind will point you in the right direction.

How To Complete Toshi The Torch Bounty in Ghost of Yotei

When you arrive at the beach, proceed further toward the mountains to eventually reach a location named Coastal Cave. As you approach the entrance of this cave, you’ll find a Matsumae soldier who’ll speak to you. Apparently, he wants revenge on Toshi the Torch for killing several other Matsumae soldiers. However, he can’t go against his orders to slay Toshi. So, he’ll ask Atsu to do it instead. In return, he says he’ll offer more money than what the bounty offers. Atsu says she’ll think about it. After the cutscene ends, you can move inside the cave.

As you move deeper, you’ll start to hear maniacal laughter from Toshi the Torch. In one of the chambers, you’ll find him along with a couple of other guards. They are in the middle of burning a Matsumae soldier alive when Atsu discovers them. A fight then ensures, during which you should take out the standard guards first before focusing on Toshi.

The fight shouldn’t be too difficult at this stage of the game. However, keep in mind that the Torch in his name indicates how he prefers to attack with fire weapons. So, beware those instances when Toshi lights his weapons on fire. A hit with these attacks can erode much of your health.

As always, make sure to move out of the way of the red glint attacks. Toshi will also have several standard attacks that you can parry. If the enemy is blocking your strikes, make sure to keep hitting him. This will slowly fill up his stagger counter. Once the bar is full, Toshi will drop his guard. You can take this opportunity to deal a ton of damage to him. Repeat these moves several times to slay Toshi the Torch.

After that, a cutscene triggers during which Toshi will call in reinforcements. You’ll have to fight and slay all of these additional enemies as well to complete the bounty quest.
