You can add companions to Warner Bros. Games’ hit fantasy action RPG Hogwarts Legacy with the help of this useful mod.
Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. Games’ fantasy title, was one of the biggest hits in 2023. The action RPG captivated the players with its whimsical wizarding world experience. However, the magical experience can now be further elevated with the usage of mods. Khione’s Companions Mod adds a companion in Hogwarts Legacy, as the name suggests.
These companions follow you everywhere and comment on various things you come across. In addition to accompanying, they repeat lumos and disillusionment when you perform them. Moreover, they can also fight alongside you, assisting in together battles.

How to Add Companion with the Companions Mod in Hogwarts Legacy
Accessing the Companions Mod is quite challenging, and you need to follow several steps. However, it will become easy once you get the hang of it. Follow these steps to make the mod work:
- Back up your save file by going to users\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames and make a copy of the save file.
- Open Hogwarts Legacy Save Game Editor, load your save file.
- Go to the “Save File” tab and click Download Database 1.
- Use SQLiteStudio (or DB Browser) to open the downloaded database. Locate the “miscdatadynamic” table.
- Click Data on the right panel and find “PlayerLastSetCompanion”. You can use the filter bar to search.
- Replace the blank field with the name of your desired companion. Save the changes and then close the database.
- Return to the HL Save Editor, go to the “Save File” tab, and under Custom DB Upload, select Database 1 and upload your edited SQL file.
- Click Generate Save File to download your new save.
- Rename the new save file to match your original save name and replace it in the save folder.
- Start the game and load your modified save to have your companion follow you everywhere.
However, most of the companions will not fight because of the lack of attack data and spells. So, you need to install a custom mod to make them fight. You can also use Pez’s AnyTimeCompanion mod to add companions to your Hogwarts Legacy gameplay.
