No, we are not talking about outfits because that can be altered through transmogging. However, changes to the name or house can be included in this example. Since there is no official way of correcting your mistake rather than starting a new game, modders have found a way around this issue.

Editing Save File in Hogwarts Legacy
Installing and using this mod can be a little complicated if you are new to mods in general. This is a web application that runs inside your browser. So, you can unzip the file and open the hise.html in your browser to ensure its successful installation.
When editing save game files, keep in mind the following things:
- Open the hise.html file with a browser by double-clicking.
- Select the Save File input box on the left side of your screen to choose the save file you want to modify.
- If your selected Save File is valid, the screen on the left will change.
- You can now use the tabs you see on your left to modify the data you want.
- After you are done making the changes, select the Save File tab on the left of the screen.
- Now, select the download button in the first tab to create a modified file. You can replace it with the original file.
It is advisable not to use options like Database and Custom DB Upload for those who just want to tweak regular stuff. All of that is for advanced editing only. Lastly, remember that this is a mod, and even the creator is not sure about the long-term effects of such tweaks. So, make sure that you have a backup file ready in all cases to avoid corrupting your game or losing your progress.
