You can initiate a companion quest of Davrin by interacting with him at the Lighthouse in his chamber when he has a yellow exclamation mark. Davrin’s questline focuses on his relationship with Griffon Assan and his battles with the Corrupted Wardens and the Gloom Howler for the freedom of Griffons.
How to Train a Griffon
How to Train a Griffon is the first companion quest of Davrin, which takes place at the Arlathan Forest. The outing-type quest focuses on Davrin taking his Griffon to Arlathan Forest to make it accustomed to its surroundings and increase his bond with the Griffon.
Explore the Arlathan Forest with Assan and Davrin. Reaching the broken bridge updates the tasks to ‘Search for truffles’ as a part of his training. Investigate the nearby bushes and search for truffles. Assan will chase a Nug when you reach Waterfront Glades. Follow Assan as he spots more Nugs, which ends the quest with a conversation.
A Friend in Need
‘A Friend In Need’ is an outing quest that takes place at the Hidden Grove. Follow Davrin through your pathway and speak to Eldrin. Collect some stone roots, vanerberries, and a marpel tree branch. These can be found in the Tainted Woods.
Once the required items are gathered, head deeper into the forest at the Cliffside Pass and place the supplies at the marked location. Upon placing the items, give a signal to the Halla. Return to Eldrin and report about the Halla to end the quest.
The Profane and the Lost
The Profane and the Lost quest takes place at the Lotus Cave. The goal of this quest is to find and rescue the Griffons by defeating Isseya. Descend deeper into the Lotus Cave to encounter Na-than, the Blighted Warden (The Corrupted Warden) at the Dark Waters Gate House. Defeat the Warden and proceed to the Broken Shoreline to fight some Darkspwan.
The quest updates to ‘Find a way through Profane Weisshaupt’ at this point. When entering the Profane City Approach, you will be attacked by both Darkspawn and Wardens together. Fight them off and enter the Profane War Room to meet the First Warden, who also seems corrupted. Here the main task updates to ‘Confront Isseya’.
Proceeding further leads you to the Darkspwan Dungeons. Fight off the Darkspwan and find a way to get out of the dungeon. Escaping the dungeon leads you through the Garahel’s Point. Break into Isseya’s lair and stop Isseya’s ritual by destroying the blights all around her. Defeating Isseya ends the quest by freeing the Griffons.
You can choose to make the Griffons, the protectors of nature in the Arlathan Forest ( or ) return to the Grey Wardens to continue the fight against evil.
