The Pinnacle of Its Kind quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard brings you face to face with a demon that was sealed away a long time ago.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s side quest explores the ground realities of Thedas. These lands are plagued by hauntings, spirits, demons, and so much more. The Pinnacle of Its Kind quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard requires you to deal with a demon that was sealed inside the Necropolis long ago. The gate’s seals are linked to other demons across Thedas. Therefore, to release and kill the demon, you have to hunt the others linked to its seal.
In this guide, we shall go over the Pinnacle of Its Kind quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, where to find the demons, and how to complete the quest.
How To Start Pinnacle of Its Kind
You can start the Pinnacle of Its Kind quest by completing the Restless Spirits quest with Emmerich. This quest will take you to the Necropolis Halls. You have to gather four wisps in the Halls to unlock a path to the Chamber of the Unforged. At the end of the chamber lies a massive sealed gate. Interact with the gate, and a demon will push you back.
How To Complete Pinnacle of Its Kind
Once you have accepted the quest, search the Chamber of the Unforged to find a note on a Venatori corpse. This note will inform you of the demons tied to the seal and will point you in their direction. There are three demons you need to vanquish to break the seal. One lies in Dock Town, one in Arlathan, and the last in the Hossberg Wetlands.
Dock Town
The first demon is in the Spillway in Dock Town. Spawn at the Spillway beacon and head southeast towards The Smuggled Relic Case area. Interact with the green flame brazier in the courtyard to summon the demon. The demon has two minions, so focus on them first. Kill them and deal Necrotic damage to vanquish the demon.
Arlathan
Spawn at the Ruins Reach beacon in Arlathan and head west past the Tattered Bridge. Interact with the green flame brazier on the other side to summon the demon. The demon is weak to Shock attacks. Exploit its weakness to vanquish the demon.
Hossberg Wetlands
The last demon is in the Hossberg Wetlands near the Solitude’s Edge beacon. Interact with the brazier west of the beacon to summon the demon. This demon is weak to Cold. Exploit its weakness and vanquish the demon.
Defeat the three demons and head back to the Chamber of the Unforged. The seal on the gate has been broken. Go past the gate and head straight. Here, the sealed demon, the Formless One, will reveal itself to be a dragon.
How To Defeat the Formless One
The Formless One is a massive dragon that towers over Rook and crew. The dragon is weak to Necrotic damage and deals high shock damage. Equip shock-resistant armor and stay quick on your toes to avoid the dragon. After a flurry of attacks, the dragon’s limbs will glow. This is your cue to deal damage. Be patient and quick on your toes to attain victory.
