Dune Awakening offers plenty of quests, besides the constant base management and material-gathering fun. Some of these are optional quests, which are often quite straightforward and don’t take too much time to complete. However, they are a great way to earn XP, Solaris, and other valuable items. Contracts are a type of side activity in the game, and many of these contracts form quest chains. Completing the entire questline often rewards you with a powerful piece of gear.

Making a Martyr is a contract that’s the final part of the Dangerous Dealing quest chain. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can start and finish the Making a Martyr contract in Dune Awakening.

Like other contracts within a quest chain, Making a Martyr will begin automatically when you complete the previous contract in the Dangerous Dealing questline. So, once you finish Hitting the Hit Squad, you will get an update notifying you of the start of this particular contract. In this mission, you will need to infiltrate Imperial Testing Station No. 71. Once there, you will then need to take down a Maas Kharet assassin.

Imperial Testing Station 71 is in the O’odham region of the map. If you’re training your advanced Planetologist skills, you will eventually reach this particular station as part of one of the trainer quests.

After entering the testing station, you will find a shielded door to your right, but don’t pay any heed to it for now and keep heading downstairs. Be mindful of the landmines that are planted here. Soon, you will enter a room with a huge cactus tree and some blocked doors. Proceed through the door that’s open and then turn left, followed by right. You should spot a room that has a secret door and an ID band. Keep following the path until you reach a colossal room with several enemies.

After taking down the enemies, search for and pick up another ID band here. You can now unlock the blocked door in this area and return to the room with the cactus plant. However, the blocked door here will now be accessible to you. This is where you’ll take on the Maas Kharet assassin. He’s not alone but has both regular and elite enemies guarding him. The elites have shields, so you need to have weapons that can penetrate their protection. Once all of the enemies are defeated, including the assassin, you can loot a chest just behind him.

Completing the contract will reward you with 700 XP, a unique rifle called Thufir’s Best, and the Mercenary Heavy Armor Set Variant.
