Here is a guide on how to craft and suit up your horse in fine leather armor or other armor in Minecraft.
In Minecraft, armor proves to be one of the most essential pieces of gear to have as you progress further into the game. But just like us players, even the horses could use some protection, especially when having them tag along on all of our dangerous expeditions through harsh terrains and conditions. In this article, we will look at how to craft leather armor and where to find the rest.
How to Craft Leather Horse Armor in Minecraft?
Crafting armor is fairly easy. All you need to do is gather seven pieces of leather. Now, you can choose to either craft the leather or scavenge it from the world. Honestly, it is much easier to find it than craft it.
To craft the leather, you would need to kill four rabbits. They would each drop a rabbit hide, which, when placed in the crafting table in a 2×2 square, will craft a piece of leather. But this would need to be repeated seven times, essentially meaning murdering 28 rabbits in total. Rather, you could either kill seven cows, donkeys, or llamas, which are much easier to find.
Once you have your seven pieces of leather, take them to a crafting table and place them in an ‘H’ shape. This will craft the leather armor. You can put this on a horse by sampling riding the horse and opening the crafting menu. From there, click on the horse icon and select the armor.
Where to Find the Different Types of Horse Armor in Minecraft?
Apart from leather horse armor, you can also craft iron, gold, or even diamond armor. These, unfortunately, cannot be crafted like the leather horse armor. These can, however, be sourced in the world while not being too difficult to find.
All three, which are iron, gold, and diamond armor, add an extra layer of protection, with iron being the weakest and diamond being the toughest. Let us look at where we can find the rest of the armor.
