In this guide, we’ll explore how you can craft and use Pentashields in Dune Awakening to safeguard bigger vehicles in your base.
In Dune Awakening, your base of operations is useful to store all your items safely, including the Blood Purifiers, Fabricators, and smaller vehicles. You can store your Sandbike inside the base, keeping it safe from sandstorm damage. However, as you progress to the end-game stages, you will unlock much bigger vehicles, e.g., the Buggy. These are too large to fit through your base doors. Hence, you won’t be able to store them indoors.
Instead, you must create bigger entryways that you can only cover with a Pentashield and not standard doors. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can craft and install Pentashields in Dune Awakening for this purpose.
How To Craft Pentashields in Dune Awakening
Before you can craft Pentashields, you will need to research them using the Research Menu. Usually, this research option becomes available when the game takes you into the Eastern Vermilious Gap area.
After you research it, three types of Pentashield structures will become available to you for crafting—Pentashield Surface Horizontal, Pentashield Surface Vertical, and Prudence Door. Although you can begin crafting these now, you need to gather the necessary materials. Make sure you have the following:
- 20x Cobalt Paste
- 2x Steel Ingots
- 6x Calibrated Servoks
Next open the Utilities Menu to start building and placing the Pentashields.
How To Install Pentashields in Dune Awakening
From the Utilities Menu, select the vertical or horizontal Pentashield depending on the location of the entryway you want to cover. Place it on one corner of the entryway and drag it all the way to the opposite corner to cover the entire opening.
Once you are sure about its placement, you can finish crafting it. As soon as you install a Pentashield, it will start drawing some power. You might need to build more power sources for the Pentashield to remain active. You can approach its corners and open the menu to check the required power. Based on that, you can choose your power source
