Crafting Recipe for Flint and Steel in Minecraft
The name of this item indicates the two items you will need to craft it. You will need one Iron Ingot and one piece of Flint. Combining these two materials in your inventory (or the crafting table) will let you make this tool.
Additionally, you don’t even need to place these two items in any specific pattern in the crafting interface. As long as both the materials are only items on the crafting table, the result will be the Flint and Steel you desire. This can be seen in the image above as well.
You can get Iron from various loot chests throughout the game, or through the traditional method of mining iron ores and smelting them. Meanwhile, Flint is easy enough to obtain by simply breaking Gravel.
Where To Find Flint and Steel in Minecraft
Your primary use for Flint and Steel will be to activate the Nether Portal whenever you want. So, you will be pleased to know that you can get this item from loot chests in Nether Fortresses, or near Ruined Portals.
It’s always a good idea to have your own Flint and Steel in hand just in case you experience a mishap with your portal while in the Nether (don’t forget some Obsidian).
Once you have crafted Flint and Steel, enjoy burning whatever or whoever you want.
