This article explains how you can craft your weapons and armors in Monster Hunter Wilds with the help of Gemma, your dedicated smithy.
Crafting is an integral part of all Monster Hunter games, and Wilds is no different. As you increase your Hunter Rank, you will get access to rarer materials and will also need better weapons and armors to keep up with the challenging monsters. Unlike the previous titles in this franchise, where every base had its own smith, you get access to your squad’s personal smith, who is also a part of your expedition team.
Gemma, the Smith, is your go-to person for crafting and also upgrading weapons and armors in Monster Hunter Wilds. In this article, we will take a look at how you can do this.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How To Craft Weapons and Armors?
You would need to interact with Gemma to craft weapons and armors in Monster Hunter Wilds. Needless to say, you must have the required materials to craft a particular armor or weapon in the game. Once you have the specific materials, simply locate Gemma in your base and interact with her to craft the armor or weapon.
Unlike Monster Hunter World, where you had a different smith at every base, Gemma is your dedicated smithy in this game. She is a part of your expedition team and accompanies you when you relocate to a new region. As such, you will always be able to find her at all bases, although her exact location might be different in each base.
Can You Craft Weapons and Armors in Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta?
Although Gemma is present in the currently ongoing Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2, you cannot craft weapons and armors. If you converse with Gemma, the smithy will tell you that she has not yet set up her shop. As such, she is unable to tend to your needs.
However, you will find various weapons and armors in your collection already, which is a part of the beta test. Currently, these other equipment and weapons are the only way to use a different weapon or armor in the game.
