Hangovers are not fun. In this guide, we have explained how to cure hangovers in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is one of the most acclaimed RPGs of 2025. The game has a high focus on realism, and it becomes evident with how it handles various aspects of it. One of these aspects is drinking and anything related to it. Alcohol was widely available during the 15th Century in Bohemia and the game makes it clear by providing you with high amounts of it.
The game has its specific skill tree for drinking. When you drink anything alcoholic in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, such as wine or beer, you get the drunkenness effect on you. This effect has two stages in which it goes, the first being advantageous with many buffs and the second hitting you with various debuffs. You also get hit with a Hangover effect if you wake up after drinking a lot.
Easy Ways To Cure Hangovers in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Hangovers can have a negative on you as your stats get diminished and you have blurry vision the whole time while having it. The easiest way to take care of a hangover is either to let it go by or drink a Hair o’ the Dog potion.
Here’s the method on how to craft the potion yourself through alchemy:
- Add Water to the cauldron.
- Add 1 Sage and 1 St. John’s Wort to the cauldron.
- Boil for 3 turns (Depicted by the hourglass icon).
- Add 1 Mint to the mortar, grind, and pour into the cauldron.
- Pour into the vial.
Poor-quality Hair o’ the Dog will remove drunkenness, but not hangovers. Regular-quality Hair o’ the Dog has a chance to cure hangovers, while a Strong-quality potion will instantly get rid of both drunkenness and hangover. Additionally, you can also brew a Marigold Concoction which doesn’t cure your hangover immediately but helps you get through it two times quicker.
Best Way To Avoid Hangover
The best way to avoid getting a hangover is by unlocking one of the perks of Drinking skills. Nightcap perk allows you to completely avoid the hangover effect after you sleep. Furthermore, this perk is unlocked very early and can be obtained at a minimum level of six in drinking. Additionally, the perk makes your beds 10% more comfortable when drunk.
