The bosses in the last few floors all throw curveballs at you and require patience and an intricate understanding of the game’s mechanics to best. The Chaos Archwizard on Floor 17 puts your spatial awareness to the test and can often be a roadblock for players.

What Is the Level Required for Chaos Archwizard?
The Chaos Archwizard is found all the way up on Floor 17 (Unbreakable Shield of Cooperation) in Taedal’s Tower in Throne and Liberty. The high placement and difficulty level naturally demand a requirement of Level 42.
How to Defeat Floor 17 Chaos Archwizard in Throne and Liberty
The first thing you’ll notice as the fight kicks off is that you have a companion with a blue magical field surrounding him. Rush to him and get inside the field as the boss spawns with an AOE attack. This immediately clarifies one thing: the blue shield and the NPC are here to protect you. Therefore, your tactics in this fight are simple; protect the Adventurer, and he protects you.
The boss has a tracking beam attack and a blue AOE attack that you need to stay on the lookout for. The former can be dodged easily, while the latter needs perfection. Occasionally, the boss will shift his attention to the Adventurer and you will have to protect him. If the boss targets the NPC, get in front and use the perfect block to thwart the attack. The last thing you need to look out for is a deadly purple AOE attack. This attack will one-shot you and the only way to survive it is by sheltering inside the Adventurer’s blue shield.
Keep track of the different attacks and stay close to the NPC to win the fight. You also have to keep track of the Adventurer’s HP because if he dies, you are left with no cover against the one-shot attack.
Best Abilities to Use for Chaos Archwizard
We recommend using the Sniper’s Sense passive skill and the Nature’s Blessing active skill. The Sniper’s Sense increases crits based on distance, while the Nature’s Blessing will help you heal the NPC.
Best Weapons to Use for Chaos Archwizard
The Longbow is your friend in this boss battle. Remember, you cannot stray too far from the Adventurer, as you both need to protect each other. This makes a ranged weapon like the longbow your best choice. Stay close to the Adventurer and chip away at the Archwizard with your Longbow.
