Getting the Platinum trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds isn’t an easy feat. It not only requires you to go through the majority of the content the game has to offer but also complete challenges that necessitate grinding for hours and even weeks. Much like the past Monster Hunter games, the latest title offers some really easy trophies mixed with others that can often feel like an exercise in frustration to unlock.

Not only have the Gold Crown-related trophies returned from past games but also the ones related to the fishing minigame. Thankfully, compared to the game’s spiritual predecessor, Monster Hunter World, unlocking the Platinum isn’t nearly as time-consuming in Monster Hunter Wilds.

With the right strategy, you can easily get the Platinum for the game in less than 100 hours. Here’s everything you need to know about the Platinum trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to easily unlock it.

Naturally, to get the Platinum trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to first unlock all the other trophies in the game. Thankfully, a good majority of the trophies can be unlocked simply by playing through the main story quests. Furthermore, once you reach the endgame, you can simply complete a few of the side quests to automatically grab a few more trophies.

However, there are a few trophies that will require you to work for them. Trophies like Giant Crown Master, Miniature Crown Master, A-fish-ionado, Explorer of the Eastlands, Top of the Food Chain, and Established Hunter will require you to put in extra hours into the game.

Furthermore, trophies like A-fish-ionado, Large Crown Master, Miniature Crown Master, and Top of the Food Chain will require you to grind the game’s endgame content. Thankfully, there are some really easy ways to speed up the process of unlocking trophies.

Tips To Easily Unlock the Platinum Trophy

Most of the trophies in the game can be unlocked right alongside the main story campaign (Low and High Rank). However, some of them will require an extra bit of effort. Trophies like Capture Pro and Hunters United Forever can technically be completed while going through the main story quests. However, they do require multiplayer interaction.

As such, if you’re playing the game solo, we recommend keeping these trophies for the final stretch of the Platinum run. After completing the main story quests, focus on all the optional and side quests. Completing them will help you unlock some of the easier endgame trophies. This even helps boost your Hunter Rank to 100 (Established Hunter).

Once you reach Hunter Rank 100, prioritize Gold Crown farming for the Large and Miniature Crown trophies. While Gold Crowns can be farmed solo, the fastest way to obtain them is via multiplayer. You can find more information on how to easily farm Gold Crowns in our dedicated guide on the topic.

After you’re done farming the Gold Crowns, focus on getting the A-fish-ionado trophy. This is the only other trophy, apart from the Gold Crowns, that requires a fair bit of grinding. However, instead of Large Monsters, this trophy requires you to catch 30 Whoppers.

The Whoppers do take some time to catch since they require completing a fishing minigame. Once you’re done with both the Gold Crown and fishing trophies, wrap up the multiplayer and capture quests to easily get your Platinum trophy.

How Long Does It Take To Get the Platinum Trophy?

Normally, getting the Platinum trophy can easily take upwards of 100-150 hours. However, with a more optimized approach, as mentioned in this guide, you can easily get the Platinum in less than 80 hours. During our time playing, we were able to get the Platinum for Monster Hunter Wilds within 75 hours. Of course, your mileage may vary. However, with a more optimized strategy, getting the Platinum is quite easy and won’t take you more than 100 hours.
