Artifacts are the backbone of any good character. Here is a guide on how to farm artifacts efficiently in Genshin Impact.

You leveled your character to level 90, and they still don’t do damage? The problem most likely lies in your artifacts. Artifacts can make or break a character in Genshin Impact. With good artifacts, even a non-meta unit can do staggering numbers and damage.
However, the opposite is also true. With bad artifacts, even the strongest characters in the game can feel underwhelming. This is why artifacts are often given a primary focus when it comes to building a character. Here is how you can farm artifacts efficiently in Genshin Impact.
Identify the Artifacts You Will Be Using

This means two things. Firstly, you should identify what set of artifacts you will be using on your character. Not every artifact set will be good for a character. Some are tailor-made for specific units. Moreover, you can also choose to mix and match 2 sets of artifacts. It is often more resin-friendly to use two-piece set bonuses on your units.
Secondly, identify the main and sub-stats you need and don’t need. Any artifacts having main or sub-stats you don’t need are a resource you can use to obtain more artifacts. Additionally, you should consider locking the artifacts that have matching sub-stats you desire. This will ensure you don’t accidentally use them up or delete them later.
How To Farm Artifacts in Genshin Impact?

There are three main methods you can use to farm artifacts. You will need to spend resin for the first two of these methods. However, the last method is viable for only specific artifact sets. This will be explained later. The three best ways to farm artifacts are:
Artifact Domains
Across the map, you will see various domains. These domains could be one of three types. Weapon enhancement, Talent enhancement, or artifacts. The third type is what you will be looking for. By clicking on an artifact set from the Adventurer’s Guide, you can view the corresponding artifact domain on the map.
Simply start the highest-level challenge in the artifact domain (for the maximum rewards). Each artifact domain will have a unique ley line effect and different sets of enemies. This will require you to tailor your team accordingly to face such a challenge.
Once done, you can proceed to claim your reward in exchange of resin. You can either spend 20 resin to get some artifacts or spend one condensed resin (which is worth 40 resin) to get double the drops. For the sake of efficiency, it is recommended to spend condensed resin to farm artifacts faster.
Bosses

You need to spend 40 resin to collect a normal boss’ materials. This goes down to 30 for the first three weekly bosses you fight and then rises to 60 for the rest. Spending the resin to collect these boss materials also nets you various artifacts. However, do note that you can only get five sets of artifacts from these bosses.
Out of these five, 3 are four-star artifact sets. The five star artifact sets are Gladiator’s Finale and Wanderer’s Troupe. Therefore, if any of your characters need these artifacts, you can just collect various boss materials, which you likely would do in the process of raising another character’s level.
Artifact Strongbox

These strongboxes let you convert three five-star artifacts into one five-star artifact. Through this method, you can convert many of your useless five-star artifacts into something usable. Of course, there is not a guaranteed chance that you will succeed and get the stats and sub-stats you need.
However, the chance of getting the artifact set piece you desire is already pretty helpful. The only drawback to this method is the lack of various artifact sets. There are only a limited number of sets you can obtain from the strongboxes. The optimal method would be to farm at the artifact domain first, then throw the useless artifacts into the strongbox so you have another chance to obtain something good.
These were the best and easiest ways to farm artifacts in Genshin Impact.
