To get your hands on Charcoal, you will need to buy it from a merchant who sells it or grab it from the right places so you can make whatever items you wish at the smithy. Charcoal is cheap, fortunately. It is worth only 0.5 Groschen, so you should be able to buy a lot of it at once. But you must find the right place first. How To Buy Charcoal In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
If you are in the Trosky region, then the easiest way to get your hands on some charcoal is to just buy from a merchant or blacksmith. You will need charcoal for a variety of things, so almost every merchant you come across throughout the game will have charcoal on them. But if you cannot find any merchant who sells it somehow, then we will give you a list of merchants who sell charcoal in the early game below:

When you are buying a lot of charcoal, it is important to keep a good reputation with the merchants so you can haggle and get the best price possible. Otherwise, you will spend all of your Groschen on just charcoal, and no one wants to do that. If you somehow buy every bit of charcoal these merchants have, then just wait for a few days and go back to them to see if they have refilled their stocks or not.
How To Get Charcoal for Free in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Charcoal is randomly scattered through the map of the game. Remember that you cannot just harvest Charcoal, and Henry can’t mine and refine it, so the only option is to find some. Sometimes you will find it on dead enemies, sacks near some charcoal mines, and a Blacksmith’s hut.
Additionally, there is a place where you will be able to find some charcoal for free in the early hours of the game. To get there, first, take the main road going to the east from Troskowtiz. Keep going until you come across the Apollonia fast travel point and the rancher’s hut, then go towards the south.
Now, you will enter a forest. There you will find an Unfinished Cottage. Follow the black wall of the cottage, and you will find a locked chest and a bag of Charcoal. You will get 50 Charcoal from the back; do not worry, taking from it does not count as stealing.
Also, you can go to the south of Kuttenberg to find some charcoal mines. There will be some huts and houses nearby; you can steal charcoal from there.
