Securing a faster mode of transportation in Dune Awakening is a necessity, especially for an open-world experience.

Dune Awakening takes place on the desert planet of Arrakis. If you have seen the films, then you should know what to expect: endless sand dunes as far as the eye can see, and it is a hassle to traverse them all on foot. Fortunately, there is a way to secure a vehicle much faster that can also help out in combat. This article will be a quick guide on how to craft a vehicle and a few extra tidbits you should know.

Getting a Vehicle in Dune Awakening

The developers behind Dune Awakening poured their hearts and souls into this project by creating new game mechanics and story missions. While it would have been convenient to craft a vehicle out of thin air, it doesn’t work like that in the game. You must first finish the “Moving On” main quest, where Zantara will inform you that you require a vehicle to reach the Vermilius Gap.
While you don’t have to follow, there are plenty of useful items in that area that are heavily guarded. Circling back to crafting a vehicle, the setting for the main quest takes place within enemy territory. Be sure to loot every crate or chest you can find to farm resources and crafting parts for a vehicle. The Sandbike can get you across the desert without being eaten by a sandworm.
How To Craft a Sandbike in Dune Awakening
There are a few crafting tools and components you will need before you can make anything. You will need a Welding Torch, which costs 6 copper ingots and can be made from the fabricator, and a medium-sized fuel cell. You will receive a pattern to fabricate a Welding Torch, which is convenient for you.
Once all of these parts are in your inventory, you can start cobbling together something that runs. These are 5 different Sandbike parts and their required components:
- Sandbike PSU Mk1: 3 Particle Capacitors, 5 Copper Ingots.
- Sandbike Chassis Mk1: 12 Copper Ingots, 5 Advanced Servoks.
- Sandbike Treads Mk1: 3 Copper Ingots, 1 Advanced Servok.
- Sandbike Hull Mk1: 12 Copper Ingots, 5 Advanced Servoks.
- Sandbike Engine Mk1: 5 Copper Ingots, 3 Particle Capacitors.
Once you have all the necessary parts, take out your torch and select “Assembly” to build your bike. Now that you have a ride, you will need to maintain and refuel it every now and then.
Tips and Tricks
- Stock up on Welding Torches: Vehicles in Dune Awakening are not built like tanks. There is a deterioration system that will cause your vehicle to break down. You can counter this with a Welding Torch for repairs.
- Keep an eye on the fuel level: While you are out exploring, you can raid enemy bases to find Fuel Cells specifically made for Sandbikes.
