For your survival in the world of Minecraft, you can craft numerous weapons to ensure your safety. While swords and shields are go-to equipment, attacking from a distance is useful while your village is under Pillager attacks.
The bow is a ranged weapon you can use to swat off enemies without getting close. Unlike a crossbow, it fails to deliver maximum damage to the enemies, but it’s more efficient when it comes to rapid shooting. Here’s how you can get a bow in Minecraft.
Getting a Bow in Minecraft
The easiest and most convenient method to find a bow is to wait for the night to fall. At night, numerous enemy mobs will spawn in your vicinity with lack of light, and this is your cue to look around for a skeleton.
The skeleton mob always spawns with a bow in its hand. As it tries to attack you, brace it with your shield and gradually walk up toward the skeleton and take it down with your sword. Additionally, don’t spam your attacks and wait for the + sign crosshair to charge up for significant damage.
After the skeleton is perished, you can pick up its bow and use it for your good. However, a skeleton’s bow always comes with used durability, making its use time-sensitive.
How To Craft a Bow in Minecraft
To craft a bow, you will need three sticks and three strings. You can get sticks from wood planks by putting them in a crafting table, and for strings, you can kill spiders that spawn at night.
Once you have the right quantity of these ingredients, you can follow the assortment shown in the above image.
Now that you have the bow, you will need arrows to use it properly.
