Dramatic Success is one of the unique mechanics in Dynasty Warriors Origins that can be achieved by using certain tactics. To execute a tactic successfully using the “Eyes of the Sacred Bird” feature, you’ll need a sufficient number of guards. Tactics are unlocked after completing the Battle of Sishui Gate. Once unlocked, you can equip up to three tactics from the tactics list in the battle preparation menu.
Hitting a perfect Dramatic Success debuffs enemies’ forces by decreasing their courage while allowing you to earn extra skill points. In order to achieve Dramatic Success, you need to perform a tactic from a certain height or distance, aiming at the enemy officers. You don’t need to worry if you’re not sure about the required height or distance, as the game guides you with indicators when you have met the required conditions.
- Look at the attack landing indicators and icons, as they will turn from white to blue when you are in the right spot to land a perfect tactic. However, you need to land the attack on the enemy forces perfectly.
- If you have triggered a Dramatic Success, you will get another indicator. A white circle/ring will appear at the area of the contact, indicating that you have achieved Dramatic Success.

Not all tactics grant the Dramatic Success. To identify suitable ones, check their descriptions in the Tactics menu for the [Dramatic Success] tag. The following tactics can trigger Dramatic Success in Dynasty Warriors Origins:

- Flaming Volley

Tactics like Volley and Flaming Volley need to be activated from higher grounds and should be aimed at the enemies perfectly.
