In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands is a useful ring you can get during Act 1 – this short Guide explains everything you need to know about Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands in BG3.
Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands
In Baldur’s Gate 3 the Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands is a relatively easy to get ring which provides the wearer the ability to cast the Invisibility spell. Invisibility can be cast on themselves or another party member. When Invisible, attacks against the target have Disadvantage and it attacks with Advantage. The Invisibility effect is removed when the hidden character attacks, casts a spell, or interacts with an item.
This may not seem like much of a bonus for a single little ring, but Invisibility is actually a really useful way to escape pressure in combat. Any party member that’s surrounded or taking a lot of damage can use the Invisibility spell to take a quick break from the action, get out of the line of fire and then drink a potion for some HP recovery.

How to Get Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Fetish of Calladuran Smoothhands can be found when looting the corpses of a group of dead deep gnomes in the Abandoned Refuge at Grymforge. You can find the bodies right around on the other side of the docks from where you first enter the Grymforge. Once you’ve gotten off the boat all you have to do is head a bit south, east and then north again. Remember to stay down on the docks and not go up the stairs first.
As you approach you’ll trigger a dialogue with the Duergar who are getting rid of the bodies. There will be a couple of dialogue checks here before you can safely take the ring. A 10DC Perception check comes first, which allows you to see the small valuable. Next you will have to choose between a 10DC Sleight of Hand check to try and steal the ring, or a 10DC Deception check to send the Duergar away.
Alternatively, you can choose to fight them if the dice rolls aren’t in your favor. There are only two, so your party should make quick work of them. Once the Duergar are taken care of, you can freely loot all of the corpses. You’ll find the Fetish of Callarduran Smoothhands in the pockets of a deep gnome over on the west side.
