How to Get the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo in BG3?

How to Get the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo in Baldur's Gate 3

To get the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo in BG3 you must find the Myconid Colony in the Underdark during Act 1. While there speak to the trader Derryth Bonecloak and she’ll tell you about her missing husband. Find him trapped in a field of Bibberbang, and if you save him then Derryth will give you the gloves as a reward.

Step 1- Find the Myconid Colony

The easiest way to get into the Underdark in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to climb down into the Well in the Blighted Village. This will bring you to the Whispering Depths, a series a caves where you’ll need to defeat the Phase Spider Matriarch.

Next, after beating the spider, use the Feather Fall spell on yourself and your companions. You can use a spellcaster who knows the spells, drink a potion, or cast the spell from a scroll. Then, jump into the glowing chasm where the Phase Spider Matriarch was. You should land safely in the Underdark below.

Afterward, you can walk toward the northwest from where you land to find the Myconid Colony.

Step 2- Start Find the Mushroom Picker

Once you have gained entrance to the Myconid Colony, walk to the western side to find the trader Derryth Bonecloak. Speak to her and she’ll tell you about her missing husband. Baelen was sent out to find a Noblestalk, but hasn’t returned. She will ask you to keep an eye out for him. Before you leave, make sure you have a Scroll of Misty step available, as this is the easiest way to save Baelen.

You can find Baelen fairly easily, by leaving the Myconid Colony and continuing to move west and then north. Climb down some vines and you’ll see a field of explosive green Bibberbang. As you get close you can see Baelen trapped in the center, unable to move for fear triggering the Bibberbang. As you reach the edge of the field, a dialogue scene will automatically start.

Step 3- Save Baelen Bonecloak

If you have a Scroll of Misty Step in your inventory at the start of the dialogue, then using it to help Baelen will be an option. You can choose to throw it to him, though successfully doing so will require passing a 10 DC Strength roll.

If he catches it, Baelen will automatically use it to teleport himself to safety. Speak to him and he’ll seem a bit confused, but give you a scroll of Invisibility as thanks.

However, to claim the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo you will need to return to the Myconid Colony and speak with Derryth Bonecloak again. She doesn’t appear very pleased that Baelen is back empty-handed, but thanks you nonetheless. You will be rewarded with the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo, and they will move directly to your inventory.

How to use the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo in BG3?

What are throwables in BG3

The best way to use the Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo is by equipping them to a Berserker Barbarian Throw build. Berserker Barbarians should have a higher Strength ability to start with, and you can further increase that number with Feats. Additionally, at Level 3 Berserkers gain access to Improvised Melee Weapon as a bonus action while they are Raging. This is a great way to get another hit of damage in with a bonus action on top of their main attack.

Furthermore, using this bonus action also has a chance of causing your enemy to go Prone. This depends on the weight of the item thrown. If it’s more than half the target’s weight, then they will be knocked back. If it’s fully more than the target’s weight then they will fall Prone.

Finally, you can improve your Strength and overall thrown damage in BG3 by choosing the Tavern Brawler feat.
