In Last Epoch, many items can give you the boost you need to defeat difficult bosses. One of these items, Nihilis, was added to the game in the version 1.1 patch, which introduced the Harbingers of Ruin. You have a chance to get the Nihilis amulet by defeating the Pinnacle Boss, Aberroth. This is a very end-game boss, so it is normal for most players not to even know how to reach him.

To help you out, here’s a guide on how to get Nihilis in Last Epoch.

Firstly, you must have the Monolith of Fate unlocked, which is a late-game mode you can use to grind out levels and gear with the Corruption mechanic. In the Monolith of Fate, you can encounter Harbinger bosses, who appear after you defeat basic bosses. However, you need to align yourself with the Forgotten Knights faction to even start encountering them.

As you keep defeating the Harbingers, you add them to the Forgotten Knights board. After you defeat all 10 Harbingers, you can finally challenge their boss, Aberroth. He is a very difficult boss with multiple phases and a myriad of AoE attacks that cover the entire arena. The only way to win this fight is by remembering his attack patterns as best you can. After defeating the boss, there is a 14.29% chance for the Nihilis amulet to drop.

The Nihilis amulet is, without a doubt, one of the hardest pieces of equipment you can grind for in Last Epoch. It is a really good item if you are making an Evade build. However, the Nihilis can have negative stats, so getting good rolls is difficult. Still, some good stats can make this item a strong in-slot option for almost any build. Here are the stats you can get in Nihilis:

  • 1% to 12% increased Health
  • 1% to 12% increased Mana
  • -4% to 8% increased Movement Speed
  • +1 to 2 to Level of All Skills
  • -20% to 50% increased Mana Regen
  • -10% to 20% more Armor
  • -5% to 15% to All Resistances
  • 10% to 20% of Current Health and Ward are lost when you use Evade
  • 1.2 to 4 Seconds of Frenzy after you use Evade
