Dune Awakening has a wide range of unique items that you’ll discover or craft along the way. These items are always better than their standard variant, and many even have special perks or features attached to them. One example of this Olef’s Quickcutter, which is a unique Cutteray that’s much better than the Makeshift Cutteray you use at the beginning of the game. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can get your hands on Olef’s Quickcutter in Dune Awakening, including its schematics.

How To Get Olef’s Quickcutter Schematics in Dune Awakening

You can pick up the schematic for Olef’s Quickcutter in Dune Awakening by visiting and clearing our Imperial Testing Station 197 in the Vermillius Gap region of the game. This location is toward the west of this region, If you’re trying to unlock the skills in the Planetologist skill tree, you will eventually get to the Imperial Testing Station 197 to meet the class trainer Derek Chinara. You can wait till this point to clear out the location and loot Olef’s Quickcutter schematic from the chest at the very end.

Remember that on your first time clearing this dungeon, you might not find this unique schematic. Instead, you might find the Softstep Boots schematic inside the chest. In that case, wait a while and clear out Imperial Testing Station once more to get the special Cutteray schematic.

How To Craft Olef’s Cutteray in Dune Awakening

You will need either a General or a Survival Fabricator to craft this item. Apart from that, you will need to gather the following materials.

  • 12x Iron Ingot
  • 6x Spice-Infused Iron Dust
  • 8x EMF Generator

Once crafting is complete, you can start mining Granite, Copper, Salvaged Metal, Erythrite, Carbon, and Iron with this particular Cutteray. It has a power consumption of 36.

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of crafting the item, you can also directly buy the Cutteray from other players using the Exchange mechanic. However, keep in mind that the other player will dictate the price of the item, and it might be quite expensive.
