You find the Plasteel Composite Armor Plating in the Deep Desert. To go there, you first need to travel to the Western/Eastern Shield Wall. Once you’re here, push towards the edge of the map up north. You’ll come across a blue barrier, which you then need to cross. The game will take you to the World Map, after which you can set the Deep Desert as your destination.
Once you’re in the Deep Desert, make your way towards Sector F-8. You will find the Buried Testing Station here. Enter the station, and you will find the armor crafting component in a container inside. Alternatively, you’ll also find it in the shipwrecks across the Deep Desert.
