Resin is a resource that you require at the start of Towers of Aghasba to build your very first settlement in the game. This settlement is a farming village. Resin is one of the important requirements of the Fill Request that gets the village set up and running smoothly. The game suggests that Resin can be acquired by cutting down some trees. However, the trees you have in the game’s world at this point won’t be enough to acquire Resin.
To actually acquire Resin, you will have to complete an easy early-game quest. In this article, we will break down what steps you need to take to get your hands on some Resin in Towers of Aghasba.
Where To Find Resin in Towers of Aghasba
To acquire Resin in Towers of Aghasba, you need to set up a temperate biome first. To do this, you need to find Pawel standing on a cliff towards the east of Amani Island. Pawel will give you a starter King Tree Seed. This seed can be planted anywhere to start your temperate biome. This biome can accommodate and promote the growth of bigger trees such as Fir. The Fir trees can drop Resin when you chop them down.
It is important to remember that only wider trees that drop Tree Bark can drop Resin. Meanwhile, slimmer trees such as Patsu do not drop Resin when cut down. Additionally, Resin is not guaranteed to drop with every Fir you cut down. If you don’t get Resin from a Fir tree on your first try, you can always look for other trees nearby. However, if you get a spawn with only one Fir around without a Resin drop, you can still get it later. For this, you need to get some Temperate Seeds. These can be acquired off of the King Tree or by feeding nearby animals Roots or Berries.
After your tree has grown to Tier 2 during Pawel’s quest, you unlock other ways to acquire a lot of Resin. This includes Resin Pools, which you can dig up with a Shovel. This can be helpful in the future as you need a lot of Resin as you progress further into Towers of Aghasba.
