The Standard Filter is a component that helps filter the Water collected using Windtraps in Dune Awakening.
Dune Awakening’s Arrakis is hell itself, with both the sands and the sun out to run you dry and kill you from dehydration. Owing to the nature of this hellish planet, water is an invaluable commodity. Water ensures you stay hydrated, and it also helps you craft resources to use later on.
Since water is your only lifeline in this desert, collecting water is important. Windtraps allow you to collect water from the environment, but the water you collect is contaminated. This contaminated water needs to be cleaned, and this is where the Standard Filter comes into play.
The Standard Filter filters the dirt from the water, making it safe for consumption and crafting. If you’re looking to survive in the desert, this Filter is a must, and we’re here to help you craft it.

How To Craft a Standard Filter in Dune Awakening
A Standard Filter is not found in the wild and instead needs to be crafted. In order to craft the Standard Filter, you need the following ingredients:
- 5x Aluminum Ingot: You can craft these at a Small Ore Refinery using aluminum. You find aluminum ores in abundance in the Eastern Shield Wall region of the game.
- 10x Plant Fiber: You find these sprouting out of the ground near large rock formations. We recommend sticking to the early-game areas to farm these.
- 4x Silicone Block: You can craft these at a Small Chemical Refinery using flour, sand, and water.

Once you have the crafting ingredients in hand, you need to head back to base and make your way to your Survival Fabricator. Follow the instructions below to craft your Standard Filter:
- Walk over to the crafting machine and press the ‘E’ key to interact with it. This will bring up a list of schematics of items you can craft.
- Head over to the Consumables tab under the schematics. This is the third tab from the right, marked by a flask icon.
- You will find the Standard Filter schematic here. Click on the schematic and press the [SPACE] key to craft the Standard Filter. You can also adjust the amount crafted by pressing the ‘A’ key.
