Dune Awakening throws you into an alternate version of Arrakis with no Paul Atreides. With Duke Leto Atreides having survived the assassination, the planet is now in full-scale conflict. You’ll have to contend with enemy soldiers, the threat of all beneath the sand, and the constant danger of dehydration.

While all of these are to be expected, the thing you’ll be worrying about the most in the game early on is the fall damage. Dune Awakening has pretty harsh fall damage, and the only way to counter it is by obtaining a Suspender Belt.

The Suspender Belt, called the Passive Suspensor Belt, is a special item that protects its user from fall damage. The device automatically kicks into gear at damaging speeds, and “persists as long as the user has power.” The Imperial-origin device makes navigating the game’s map easier, reducing frustrations brought by fall damage.

If you wish to explore Arrakis hassle-free, this is a device you absolutely need. If you don’t know where to find it, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to get the Passive Suspensor Belt in Dune Awakening.

There are two ways to obtain the Passive Suspensor Belt (Suspender Belt) in Dune Awakening. The first way is to simply craft the item. You’ll have to acquire intel on the item’s schematic (Copper tier), after which you can craft it using the Fabricator or Survival Fabricator. Craft the item, power it with a Power Pack, and equip it to enjoy the reduced fall damage.

You will require the following items to craft the Suspender Belt:

  • Copper Ingot x8
  •  Particle Capacitor x3

The other way of acquiring the Suspender Belt is through simple exploration. You’re likely to find the item across the various Imperial Testing Stations. We recommend crafting the item instead, as it is easier.

Take note that you require a Power Pack to use this item. The item description clearly states that the device effects persist only “as long as the user has power.” Stay stocked up on the packs to make the most of this device.
