So, it’s always well worth it to find such schematics and then craft the item back at your base. In this guide, we’ll discuss one such schematic, the Way of the Desert in Dune Awakening. We’ll explore how you can find it and what you need to craft it.
Where To Find the Way of the Desert in Dune Awakening
The Way of the Desert is a unique Maula pistol in the game. While you can’t find one lying around, you can acquire the schematics to craft this pistol. To do that, you must head to the Edge of Acheron location. There, you’ll find a chest that has a chance of dropping this particular unique schematic. However, first, you’ll need to get through the blocked door that guards this chest. For that, you need to fight in the central area of the Edge of Acheron. There, you’ll be able to pick up the corresponding ID band that unlocks the blocked door.
Keep in mind that the Edge of Acheron is in the Sheol region of the game, which is a PvPvE area. So, you might encounter hostile players and not just AI-controlled enemies. So, you should limit your time in this location and quickly grab the schematic. Also, since there isn’t a guarantee that the Way of the Desert schematic will spawn the first time you open this chest, you might have to clear the location multiple times before you get the schematic you need.

How To Craft the Way of the Desert in Dune Awakening
After acquiring the schematic for this weapon, you can finally craft it using a Weapons Fabricator. The following are the materials you’ll need to spend to make the Maula pistol.

- 30x Silicone Blocks
- 340x Water
- 26x Gun Parts
- 21x Mechanical Parts
- 9x Spice-Infused Duraluminum Dust
- 6x Light Caliber Compressor
If you don’t want to go through all this trouble, you can also get a unique weapon from the Exchange, the player-controlled auction system in the game.
