Additionally, one thing that is common between the negative potions is that they require Fermented Spider Eyes to make. The only positive potion requiring this brewing ingredient is the Invisibility Potion.

Items Required for the Fermented Spider Eye in Minecraft
Here are all the ingredients you will require to craft one single Fermented Spider Eye:
- 1x Spider Eye
- 1x Sugar
- 1x Brown Mushroom
And here’s how you get these:
- Spider Eye: Spider Eyes are mob drops that you get by killing Spiders and Cave Spiders. Each has a one-third chance to drop on death. Moreover, Witches can also drop up to six Spider Eyes on death, but there is also a chance for them to drop none. Plenty of Spiders spawn during the night, making it the best time to farm them.
- Sugar: You can get Sugar by breaking down a Sugar Cane at the Crafting Table. Sugar Cane usually grows by the water, mostly at rivers and lakes. There is also a chance for Wandering Traders to carry some.
- Brown Mushroom: Mushrooms grow in poorly lit areas in Minecraft. In each chunk, there is a 25% chance for a Brown Mushroom to spawn in a poorly lit area in random patches. Brown Mooshroom cows also drop Brown Mushrooms when you shear them.

Crafting Fermented Spider Eye in Minecraft
Once you have all the previously mentioned ingredients, follow the steps below to successfully craft Fermented Spider Eye in Minecraft.
- Craft a Crafting Table and place it on the ground.
- Open the crafting UI by interacting with the table.
- Place the Sugar in the center of the 3×3 grid.
- Place the Brown Mushroom on the left side of the sugar.
- Place the Spider Eye under the sugar. Refer to the image above.
- Drag the Fermented Spider Eye into your inventory from the output section.
This gives you one Fermented Spider Eye. With this, you can now make some potions of your choice.
