The First Berserker Khazan might be a more accessible souls-like game, but it’s still filled with tropes that are associated with the genre. One of the key elements of any good souls-like is the obscurity behind certain gameplay and progression mechanics. These mechanics are seldom explained by the game itself but are left to the player to discover for themselves. One such mechanic is selling the additional items for currency. Unlike other RPGs, where selling is a feature that’s available right from the get-go, The First Berserker Khazan requires you to work towards it and earn the rights to sell unwanted gear and trinkets for additional Gold and Lacrima.
Thankfully, unlocking this feature doesn’t take too long, and if used correctly, it can help you get a substantial boost right at the start of the game. Here’s everything you need to know about how to sell items in The First Berserker Khazan.
How To Unlock the Ability To Sell Items in The First Berserker Khazan
You unlock the ability to sell unwanted items in The First Berserker Khazan after completing the third main story quest in Embars. After defeating the Blade Phantom, you eventually make your way to the Forgotten Temple mission. At the end of this mission, you are tasked with defeating the Viper, which is one of the toughest early-game bosses in The First Berserker.
After you defeat the Viper, you get access to the Realm of the Living within the Crevice. In this realm, you can talk to various NPCs that you meet throughout the main story. One of these NPCs is Duimuk, who is essentially the merchant in The First Berserker Khazan. After talking to Duimuk, you can sell items to him.
Furthermore, Duimuk often refreshes his stock of weapons, armor, and consumables. As such, do make sure to periodically visit him and take a glance at his wares. We highly recommend restocking consumables like the Vitality Sphere and Assassin’s Elixir after every other mission. In addition to that, there’s another way to sell your items in The First Berserker. However, using this method, you gain Lacrima instead of Gold.
How To Extract Lacrima
After you complete the second main story quest and defeat the Blade Phantom, you get access to the Crevice. In the Crevice, you will find an NPC named Oksana, who is a mystical trader with the ability to turn items into Lacrima. After talking to Oksana, you can choose the Extract Lacrima option to convert unwanted items in your inventory into Lacrima. Unlike Gold, Lacrima is used for leveling up Khazan’s base stats. Furthermore, at a later point in the game, Lacrima can also be used to change a weapon or armor piece’s primary perks.
