How You Can Throw Rocks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you cannot throw rocks right when you start the game. The game locks the rock-throwing mechanic during the prologue. It unlocks once you start the stealth section of the Easy Riders quest. The game doesn’t even properly explain this mechanic after this mission.
To throw a rock in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, first you have to take the crouch position to initiate stealth. You cannot throw rocks while standing. Once crouched, press the buttons below:
- G for keyboard players (can be remapped in settings)
- R1/RB for controller players (can be remapped in settings)
Why You Should Throw Rocks
Throwing rocks is a highly useful mechanic in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. During stealth sections of the game, you can crouch and throw rocks to distract enemies very easily. They will investigate the spot where the rock lands, allowing you to move around unnoticed.
Additionally, you can throw rocks to bring down bird nests from trees scattered throughout Bohemia. You need to angle yourself at a proper position from which you can see the nest and throw the rocks at them. These save you from using arrows and also gain you various kinds of loot.
