Hunter Evolution Guide in EAFC 25: Learn how to upgrade attackers for free – includes best players and stat boosts.
EA Sports just dropped a new treat for Ultimate Team players – the Hunter Evolution. Part of the Winter Wildcards promo, this free upgrade lets you boost your players’ pace and shooting without spending any FC Points or coins. It’s one of three new Flash EVOs that have been added to the game.
The timing couldn’t be better with the Winter Wildcards event in full swing. While we’ve seen some great evolution options lately, this one stands out because it’s completely free. Whether you’re just starting or you’re a seasoned player, you can now give your attackers a solid upgrade without touching your coin balance.
What Players Can Use the Hunter Evolution?
Before you get started, check if your player meets these requirements:
- Must be rated 86 or lower
- Defending stat can’t be higher than 81
- Can’t have more than eight PlayStyles
These rules aren’t too strict, so you’ll have plenty of good players to choose from for this upgrade. The max rating of 86 is particularly generous, letting you use some really strong players who are already performing well in the game.
Best Players To Upgrade
Looking for the right player to evolve? Here are some solid choices that’ll get even better with the Hunter upgrade:
- Cristiano Ronaldo (86) – Still knows how to find the back of the net
- Rafael Leao (86) – Fast and deadly in front of goal
- Alexander Isak (86) – Tall striker who can really move
- Lauren James (86) – Brings amazing skill to the women’s game
- Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (86) – Great at taking on defenders
- Teji Savanier (86) – Strong all-around attacking option
Each of these players already has strong base stats in key areas, which means the Hunter Evolution will make them even more effective on the pitch. For example, Ronaldo’s already impressive shooting stats will become truly elite with the additional +6 boost from both levels.
What Upgrades Do You Get?
The Hunter Evolution comes in two levels, and each one makes your player noticeably better:
Level 1 Upgrades
- The pace goes up by 3
- Shooting goes up by 3
Level 2 Upgrades
- Another +3 to Pace
- Another +3 to Shooting
- You get the Rapid PlayStyle
- You get the Power Shot PlayStyle
The addition of both Rapid and Power Shot PlayStyles is particularly valuable. These PlayStyles can significantly impact how your player performs in-game, with Rapid helping them maintain their speed with the ball and Power Shot giving them that extra punch in front of goal.
How To Complete the Evolution
Ready to upgrade your player? Here’s what you need to do:
For Level 1
Play three games with your evolution player in Rush, Rivals, Champions, or Squad Battles. Just make sure you’re playing on at least Semi-Pro difficulty. You don’t need to win these games – just make sure your evolution player gets some game time.
For Level 2
- Play two more games with your evolution player
- Win one game with them on your team
The best part? You can complete these challenges in any game mode you prefer. If you’re not confident about online play, you can stick to Squad Battles on Semi-Pro difficulty and still get all the upgrades.
The Hunter Evolution in EAFC 25 is a no-brainer if you want to make your attackers better. It’s free, the upgrades are really good, and you can even pair it with other Flash Evolutions to make your player even stronger. If you’re looking to improve your Ultimate Team squad, this is definitely worth your time. The challenges aren’t too demanding either, so you can easily complete them while playing your regular Ultimate Team matches.
