Cross-play has always been a topic of discussion in Madden NFL series. EA Sports has finally revealed the details regarding whether the Madden NFL 25 will be having cross-play or not.
EA Sports released Madden NFL 25, a popular American football game, in August 2024. EA Sports has introduced a lot of new features for the game, which has led to excitement in the fanbase. The biggest concern of the fanbase was the inclusion of cross-play in Madden 25. EA Sports has answered the gamers’ demands, so let us take a look at the availability of cross-play in Madden NFL 25 and other features related to it.
Cross-Play in Madden NFL 25
Madden 25 will have cross-play, and this will be the second time the Madden NFL franchise has included cross-play. This year, gamers on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC will have cross-play. The feature is only available for modes like Head-to-Head, Franchise, Madden Ultimate Team, Superstar KO, and Superstar Showdown. Cross-play will be an optional feature that can be turned off by players not wanting to face off against other consoles and PC gamers. The leaderboards will also change based on whether players turn on cross-play or not.
Cross-play will be switched on by default, and gamers will need to go to the in-game settings if they want to turn it off. However, for Xbox gamers, the feature to turn off cross-play will be present inside the console settings. Cross-play will allow gamers to play with their friends who are on other platforms. Navigate to the Player Search tab and search for the EA identification tag or gamertags to complete this task.
By introducing cross-play, the quality and quantity of players will surely increase and result in shorter matchmaking times. It all comes down to preference, as gamers will either have to face more competitive lobbies with cross-play or experience longer queue times with cross-play off.
