Split Fiction is launching on March 6, 2025, and players are eager to see where they can play it. The game is available on almost all platforms, which raises the question of whether the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch.

At the time of writing, the game is not yet available on the Nintendo console. Here’s everything you need to know.

Will Split Fiction Be Playable on the Nintendo Switch?

Split Fiction won’t be an option for Nintendo Switch users at launch. The game is confirmed for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S. Older consoles, including the Switch, won’t be getting a version of the game. That means those who prefer gaming on Nintendo’s platform will need to look for alternatives or wait to see if the situation changes.

There’s no official word on a Switch port, but there’s reason to keep an eye out for updates. Hazelight Studios, the developer behind Split Fiction, previously released It Takes Two on the Switch. That game arrived on Nintendo’s platform after its initial launch elsewhere. With rumors of a more powerful Switch successor on the way, a version of Split Fiction could be possible later.

Other Ways to Play Split Fiction

Since Split Fiction isn’t launching on the Switch, you may be considering other ways to play. The game will be available for purchase on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app for PC players. Console users can grab it on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game fully supports cross-play, so friends can team up across different systems as long as they have an EA account linked.

If you were hoping to play Split Fiction through a subscription service, that won’t be an option at launch. The game won’t be included in Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, or EA Play. However, the Friend’s Pass feature allows one person to own the game while a friend joins for free.
