IShowSpeed is supposedly set to undergo eye surgery following severe cluster headaches from 2023 and a recent injury.
Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed is no stranger to injuries, given the streamer’s high energy and unusual antics. Darren was recently injured after falling during a MrBeast challenge shoot. Speed will reportedly undergo eye surgery for the cluster headaches he suffered during his Japan visit in 2023. He was also hospitalized after the streamer complained about having the worst experience of his life. Darren stated that he couldn’t even open his eyes after suffering from a headache.

Speed claimed that he was having “deadly” cluster headaches, which cause sharp pain. He complained about not being able to open his eyes and was shortly admitted to the hospital. Cluster headaches are usually short-lived headaches and come in an episodic manner.
Those suffering from cluster headaches can feel throbbing and sharp pain for a short time. According to popular YouTuber and doctor Mikhail “Doctor Mike,” these headaches can cause depression in some people. In an Instagram story in 2023, Speed stated:
“Right now, I have one of the worst experiences, I’m having it right now, guys. I can’t even open up my eyes. I have this thing called a cluster headache right now, the most deadly headache.”
What Did IShowSpeed Say About His Headaches?
While Doctor Mike noted several causes for Speed’s headaches, the streamer reacted to Mike’s diagnosis. Speed stated that he did not have periodic headaches but rather had a constantly pounding headache. The streamer went over his diagnosis, stating that a supposed sinus infection caused the condition. He claimed that he had a secondary cluster headache that supposedly mimics a primary cluster headache.
Speed claimed that the blood was supposedly not flowing through his head and causing the swelling.
“I didn’t have a primary cluster headache, the cluster headache was a secondary.”

Another popular YouTuber Doctor Eye Health claimed that Speed had a preseptal or orbital cellulitis.
“Any eye care professional looking at this level of orbital swelling is probably thinking either preseptal or orbital cellulitis until proven otherwise. Preseptal cellulitis is an infection of the soft tissues in front of the septum that covers and protects the eye. But if an infection gets behind the septum, it becomes orbital cellulitis”
