RaKai, also known as 2xRaKai, is a 16-year-old Twitch streamer who occasionally appears on Kai Cenat’s livestreams. He was suspiciously banned from the platform on January 30, 2025, and viewers were left guessing why.

RaKai announced on his Discord server that he got banned due to showing reported signs of self-harm. While his viewers said that he didn’t do anything that would violate Twitch’s Terms of Service, they do speculate that he was banned due to false reports from random viewers.

The streamer is currently trying to contact Twitch after receiving his first ban on the platform since he started livestreaming. It has not issued an official statement yet, explaining the reason behind the ban.

Why Was RaKai Banned From Twitch?

RaKai’s last livestream was on January 30, 2025, where he played Fortnite and spent time talking to his viewers in the Just Chatting category. Twitch temporarily banned his account after his livestream. RaKai posted a message on Discord saying:

“They said they think I want to end myself.”

He is currently in talks with the platform to get his account back. Fans speculate that Twitch banned him due to mass reports as they believe the streamer didn’t show any signs of self-harm that would lead to the ban.

The Twitch streamer was evicted from his previous place earlier this month. However, he bought a new apartment after this and broke the news to his fans on a livestream. Fans commended him for his feat at the age of 16, and many also praised Kai Cenat for supporting and mentoring the young streamer.

After starting part-time livestreaming on December 6, 2023, the streamer gained over 400,000 followers in a year. According to Twitchmetrics’ estimates, RaKai makes over $3,600 a month from Twitch subs alone.

2xRakai’s Recent Controversy On Twitch

Atlanta-based rapper Lil RT, who occasionally appears on Kai Cenat’s streams, made derogatory comments about RaKai last year. On January 21, 2024, Lil RT was rapping on Kai’s stream with the lyrics:

“I walk your girl, and I get your girl and I want a hug. I got her number and I finna ra*e her down upon her.”

Kai seemed shocked and told Lil RT to stop using slurs.

“Where are kids learning this, bro?”

RT retorted and said:

“Why are you going on with fa**ots? Yeah, RaKai.”

Kai defended his friend and told the 10-year-old rapper to not use homophobic slurs. He said:

“I understand you are oblivious and you learn things that’s around you, but it’s not always good to say certain things. Listen to me, you don’t have to say those things at your age. Do you understand me? You shouldn’t be saying those things period.”

Despite Kai’s support for his friend, RaKai allegedly received homophobic messages online from RT’s fanbase.
