Kingdom Come Deliverance started off with a tragic, near-Shakespearean opening act, and now Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC takes you on a trip down memory lane. Once you start the Legacy of the Forge DLC, you venture into the lands of Kuttenberg, this time looking to make good of the legacy Henry’s parents left behind.
Instead of twisting the knife deeper into the wound, the Legacy of the Forge DLC paints a hopeful future, one where Henry evolves and carries further his father’s dreams. This second major DLC for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 beautifully expands on the story of Henry, and if you’re wondering how to start it, this guide is for you.

How To Begin the Legacy of the Forge DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

You begin the Legacy of the Forge DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 by heading to the purple map icon in Kuttenburg. As you approach this icon, you’ll notice a shoddy grey building, seeing which will cause Henry to remark on its familiarity. Approaching the door of the building will then initiate a cutscene, which will start off the Legacy of the Forge DLC.
If you open the map and can’t find the purple icon in Kuttenberg, it means that you haven’t installed the DLC. Make sure that you’ve purchased and installed the DLC. Once you do so, restart the game, and the purple icon should show up.
If you haven’t gotten to Kuttenburg yet, it means that you’re still fairly early into the story. You’ll have to complete all the opening missions in Trosky, and only then will the story move you to Kuttenberg. Once you’re here, you’ll have to finish a couple of missions more, after which you can explore freely and seek the purple marker.
