Hunger and Despair Mission is the 29th main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. There is widespread hunger in the town because of low supplies. Here is a complete walkthrough of the Hunger and Despair Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Ask Janosh for Food
The mission begins on the 25th day of the siege of Suchdol, and supplies are running low. Capon asks you to bring him something to eat. Enter the courtyard and ask Janosh for some food. Janosh will inform you that he does not have any food and suggests looking for alternatives.
You have two options now:
- Deny Capon the food: Use the dialogue options to tell Capon that you could not find any food, then inform him that you would not bring him any. After this, the task will end, and the next cutscene will begin.
- Talk to the stablemaster: He will ask you to tame a horse in exchange for food. After successfully riding the horse around the outer bailey, return it to the stable to complete the task. As a reward, the stablemaster will give you Moonshine and deliver it to Capon; while it won’t suppress hunger, it will provide some relief.
Both scenarios will trigger a cutscene showing a funeral where the villagers mourn the loss of fallen soldiers. After this cutscene, you’ll need to defeat all the Praguers who have infiltrated the walls and knock the ladders off the ramparts to stop the enemy from climbing up the wall.
Get the Enemies Off the Wall
Go to the ramparts and defeat the enemies. You need to knock down a total of four ladders from the wall. It’s best to knock down the ladder one by one. After pushing the four ladders, you get another cutscene where some enemies have entered the tower. You will need to eliminate all of them. Head to the rear wall to knock off the ladders to prevent the fort from infiltration.
Once all the ladders are down, a cutscene will activate, depicting foes entering the tower. Break down the door to the tower, and you will encounter more soldiers. Eliminate all the soldiers, then head to the rear wall and knock off the two ladders to secure the tower.
Sending the Message
After you knock off all the ladders, another cutscene will trigger in which Zijka asks you to deliver a message to Margrave Jobst of Luxembourg. You can say goodbye to Hans in his room. By choosing the option of The Black Knight, you may get a chance to kiss Hans. You may also bid farewell to Katherine, who will be sobbing in the courtyard.
After this, go to the rear wall and interact with it. Henry will jump over the wall, and this will wrap your Hunger and Despair Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
