Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is considered to be one of the most detailed RPGs out there, and there is a good reason for that. Fans have said that the game’s quest design is something noteworthy. Warhorse Studios has created a game that is an upgrade in every way compared to its predecessor, which some thought to be an impossible task. And this is evident when it comes to how the game ties Henry to the world of KCD 2.
Every action you take as the protagonist affects the world and NPCs in some way or another. Additionally, one such action will take Henry on a side quest named The Lost Sheep, and in this guide, we will walk you through it.
How to Find the Lost Sheep in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Now, let’s start at the beginning, during the Mutt Side Quest players will run into some shepherds. KCD 2 creates a new thread of side quests from this point and, if you are interested, Henry can help the Shepherd with their wolf problem.
To be more precise, the shepherd will be in despair because of a pack of wolves, and you can get rid of them to get some rewards. Lastly, the Lost Sheep mission will be unlocked once you have completed the Sheep Among Wolves quest. So, let’s talk a bit more about it.
First, you will need to go to the northwest of Zeheljov and find the shepherd named Smoliek. Look for a shepherd who’s standing near a tree and guarding a sheep, he is the one you are looking for.
When you speak to him, Smoliek will reveal that a pack of wolves has been attacking him and his herd of sheep for a few days, and during these unfortunate times, his boss’s favorite sheep got lost.
Go Into The Woods
Now that the poor shepherd has asked for your help, Henry will have to go on a journey to find this sheep and tackle any obstacle that come his way. Spoiler alert, the sheep is dead, and you will have to cut its ear off and present it to Smoliek as proof.
We should warn you that this won’t be an easy task because the quest will take you into a forest, and it is never safe in the woods. The terrain will be tricky, and there will be trees everywhere to obstruct your vision.
Not to mention that you will be surrounded by wild animals. This side quest is one of the tricky ones because there won’t be a marker that will take you directly to the sheep. After all, that would make things too easy.
Instead of a marker, you will get a search area, which you must scour to find Smoliek’s beloved sheep. However, the trial does not end there because you will have to follow the wolves and their howling to locate your target. Additionally, you can also use Mutt during this quest.
The Unfortunate Sheep
Now, let’s talk about where you can find the sheep. It will be slightly to the right of the quest marker, on a hill. Once you finally reach the sheep’s location, the wolves will attack you. Always remember that the wolves hunt in packs, and when there is one, others are nearby. Keep in mind that while fighting the wolves your stamina management will be the most important aspect.
If you want to win, don’t get too aggressive and exhaust Henry. Instead, we recommend that you isolate and target one wolf at a time, Mutt will be helpful in this scenario, and we advise that you use him as much as possible.
Once you have successfully defeated all of the wolves, simply interact with the corpse of the sheep and Henry will cut the ear off.
After everything is done, head back to Smoliek and tell him that you have found the sheep. Give him the ear as proof to complete the quest and he will give you the following rewards:
- 11 Groschen
- Cheap Wine
- Weak Marigold Decoction
- 2 Bandages
- 2 Dried Apples
- Cooked Carrot
- Die of Misfortune
