One of the early quests after the Prologue in Kingdom Come Deliverance is Materia Prima. This mission comes up when you choose a specific path. In the beginning, Henry and Hans Capon have to deliver an important message. Due to the unfortunate events in the Prologue, they receive a major setback. There is still hope, though. To deliver the intended message, both the noblemen must arrive at a wedding.
Unfortunately, this task won’t be easy since they are stranded in a new land with no proof of the fact that they are a novelty. So, they have to crash the wedding. After Sir Hans goes his separate way, Henry can either take the help of a blacksmith or the help of the miller Kreyzl. It is through the latter mission that players truly access Materia Prima.
Beware, though. This mission will be a long journey where you steal, deceive, and stay in stealth mode. It may not be what a good Bohemian Christian would do, but people must adapt to more desperate times. So, if you are in, irrespective of the stakes, this mission is for you!

Beginning the Quest

Players can find Kreyzl when they visit the mill at Lower Semine, which is marked on the map. This NPC will either be working next to his house or by the small pond on the west side of his home. Once you interact with him successfully, you can help him out by carrying the flour sacks from the storage room into the nearby wagon.
Those who already have a Thievery score of 10 or above can instead choose the option to ask for something “better” when asked to carry the sacks. This will skip the hard work completely, and Kreyzl will come straight to the point. If you continue carrying the sacks, however, you will still end up receiving the task of stealing a letter from Troskowitz.

Getting the Letter

We suggest that you get the Thievery outfit from Dorothy at Zhelejov. She will give it to you for 199, but you can talk your way out of this price if you have the Speech skill above 10. This outfit will allow you to increase your chances of pickpocketing before without getting caught. This is not a direct buff. Instead, Henry will make less noise and be less visible, allowing him to increase his time window to loot somebody before they notice him. You can also wear simple dark clothes without armor to do the same job if you can’t buy the Thievery Fit.
Reach Troskowitz after the sun is up. Just make sure to be there before 12 PM otherwise, the entire place will be bustling with life. Head to the building near the tavern where the scribe works. Head inside the main gate, nobody will stop you. Go left. There will be a Bailiff Thrush sitting outside the building here. When you head inside, go upstairs and loot the guards sleeping there quietly. The keys on one of those guards will be useful later.
Crouch and head downstairs to the basement using the stairs beside the sleeping guards. There will be a guard there. Throw rocks in progression to ensure that he keeps getting lured away from his original position. Once he is far away, open the chest on the left side of the staircase and pick up the letter inside. Leave immediately.
Immediate Consequences of the Quest

When you walk out of the building, you can do two things. One is telling Bailiff Thrush about the deal that you made with Kreyzl. As we mentioned earlier, he would be sitting outside the building. If he’s not there, you will find him outside, roaming around the trader’s hut. Don’t worry, snitching on Kreyzl won’t have any immediate negative consequences for you. The Bailiff will just ask you to continue the work and eventually arrest Kreyzl when enough evidence is collected. The main consequence of this action won’t be visible until the next quest for Kreyzl.
Another option here would be to skip the Thrush part entirely and help out Kreyzl with what he asked you to do. That is something that people would usually do because snitching is just as bad a habit as stealing if you want to be a moral epitome in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This objective will end when you deliver the letter.
