Popular content creator Ludwig Ahgren said that the worst comment he ever received was a comparison with Player 456 from Squid Games.
YouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren is one of the most popular content creators with over 6.58 million subscribers on the platform. His YouTube contract ended recently, and he was reflecting on some of the “meanest” comments he received from his audience. The streamer revealed that someone called him the American version of “Player 456” from Squid Game.
Squid Game is a popular Korean show. Player 456, the protagonist of the series, dyes his hair red at the end of Season 1. Ludwig’s current hair resembles Player 456, which is likely what prompted the comment.
The streamer said that he was affected by the comment so much that he wanted to shave off his hair. Ludwig’s comments led to his fanbase roasting him even further on his channel.
Ludwig Discusses His “Meanest Comment” on YouTube
On January 23, 2025, Ludwig was discussing his future in content creation in a video. He had a multi-year contract with YouTube, which expired in December 2024. He wants to stream on both Twitch and YouTube, and he talked about his plans going forward. One of the comments in the video said:
“Lud looks like if Player 456 actually got on that plane to the United States.”
His chat agreed with the comment because the streamer was wearing a green shirt similar to the fictional character. His hair color also resembles Player 456, and the streamer noted that it was not the first time someone commented about the resemblance. Ludwig then compared the YouTube comment to the worst message he received on Twitch chat, which was:
“Don’t look here. Nobody’s chatting.”
Ludwig said that he is considering getting rid of his hair so people would stop comparing him to Player 456.
Who Is Player 456 in Squid Games?
Ludwig viewers who have not seen Squid Game might be confused about the YouTube comment and why it is funny. Seong Gi-Hun, also known as Player 456, is the protagonist of the series. The show revolves around a secret life-or-death TV show featuring children’s games with a twist.

Player 456 competed against 455 other contestants and won in Season One. During his journey, he found out that the rich were exploiting helpless people and forced him into the competition.
At the end of the show, Player 456 takes his winnings and wants to leave for the United States. During the scene at the airport, fans see the protagonist in a completely new hair color. Ludwig’s current hairstyle resembles Seong Gi-Hun, and he coincidentally wore a green shirt that matched the fictional character’s clothing, which led to the comments referencing Squid Game.
