The second Monster Hunter Wilds Beta is live now (started on February 6), with a third beta planned for next weekend. With the game’s eventual release later this month, Capcom’s Betas are the perfect way to increase anticipation and excitement. If you’ve been having a gala time taking on the different monsters in the Beta, while also familiarizing yourself with all the ropes, it’s natural to wonder just how the game’s Beta is faring. Here’s a look at the player counts for the game’s demo and understand whether players are loving the experience.

As per SteamDB — dated February 9, 2024 — here is the player count information that will give a clue as to the popularity of the game during the latest demo event.

  • Current players – The player count is 113,127 as of this writing.
  • 24-hour peak – In the last 24 hours, the peak player count was 180,372 concurrent players.

For the time being though, the all-time peak count is 463,798, and it is from the previous Beta event of the game. It remains to be seen whether the second or the third Beta event will be able to beat this number.

It is also interesting to note that, unlike last time, Capcom has made sure that the current and upcoming Beta events will be available on all platforms at the same time.

When Was the First Beta Released for Monster Hunter Wilds?

Capcom held the first Beta event in two distinct rounds for different platforms. The first round, starting on October 28 and ending on October 30, 2024, was exclusive to PS5 players through PlayStation Early Access. The second round started on October 31 and lasted until November 3, and this time around, the Beta was available to PS5, Xbox, and PC gamers.

Monster Hunter Wilds releases on February 28, 2025. If you created a character during the Beta events, your character, and all other progressions will carry over to the game after its full release. So, you can simply carry forward without needing to replay the same parts.
