Fulfill the crafting and upgrading needs for your weapons and armor in Monster Hunter Wilds by obtaining Iron Ore.

Iron Ore is one of the most important resources in Monster Hunter Wilds. This material is particularly useful for crafting and upgrading Hunter’s gear. It can also be smelted into a multi-purpose metal, as the in-game description suggests.
But how do you obtain it in the first place? The answer is simple. All players playing Monster Hunter Wilds have to take a slight detour from their hunting objective and mine for Iron Ore.

Where To Find Iron Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Primarily, players can find Iron Ore in a random Mining Outcrop. While we don’t yet have a lot of information regarding their spawning pattern, so far, they only seem to spawn in regions when they are in low rank. Players can visit regions like Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, find the different Mining Outcrops there, and interact with them to gather the minerals they want.
Minerals spawn randomly in this game, and you are not guaranteed to get only Iron Ore each time. However, if the regions mentioned above are low-ranked, you have a higher chance of finding your desired material. The Mining Outcrops in Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest have a chance of dropping Machalite Ore and Earth Crystal along with Iron Ore in low ranks.
If you run out of low-rank regions that spawn Iron Ore, there is a trick that you can pull. Simply replay the low-rank optional quests so you can visit the low-rank version of the area. This way, you won’t damage your game progress and still come back with your hands full. Simply visit each Mining Outcrop so you don’t miss out on anything by the end of your journey and return once your objective is finished. Now, feel free to use the obtained Iron Ore as you please.
