Here is the Outer Worlds 2 walkthrough for the Better Than Nature companion quest for Inez, including the options you can take.

Better Than Nature is a companion quest for Inez in The Outer Worlds 2. This quest is more than just an introduction to her character in the game. Depending on the options you choose during the quest, her abilities can change. This is why knowing the outcome of this quest is important. Based on your playstyle, you might want to choose the right path to conclude the companion quest.
Here is a walkthrough for the Better Than Nature companion quest for Inez in The Outer Worlds 2, exploring the different options, side choices, and more.
Where To Find Inez in The Outer Worlds 2?
To start the Better Than Nature companion quest, you first need to interact with Inez in the Ministry of Accuracy. Afterward, you can have her return to Fairfield. You can find her naturally by exploring the area or by completing side quests like A Refreshing Bit of News or Above and Beyond Repair.
How To Complete Better Than Nature in The Outer Worlds 2

Once Inez is back in Fairfield, head to the Town Hall, where you will find her talking with Minister Milverstreet. Talk to her, and the Better Than Nature quest will start. However, keep in mind that you will have to send your companions back to the incognito before Inez joins your party.
Once you recruit her, she will explain that her grafted arm is hurting badly. You will then have to make your way to Ethel, where you’ll discover that Inez needs a new graft. You are then given beasts to hunt to collect a sample. These are the Skeleton Crabble and the Raptidon Matriarch. Fortunately, there will be a map marker, so reaching each location will be easy.
Hunt the Skeleton Crabble

If you are in a hurry, the Skeleton Crabble is your best bet. It’s the closest target to reach, and the location has a wide area to move around. This makes it easier for you to keep a safe distance from the beast while shooting it with ranged weapons.
However, keep in mind that the Skeleton Crabble deals a ton of damage. Try not to get hit, even if it means extending the fight a bit longer. The beast also has other allies, which can be a bit annoying to deal with. Throw some grenades to keep them at bay.
Hunt the Raptidon Matriarch

The Raptidon Matriarch is a bit tricky to reach. You can find this beast past the bridge in the north by the Vox Relay. There are multiple ways to gain access to this bridge. However, not all of them are easy:
- Find Milverstreet or Kaur in Fairfield and complete a quest.
- Interact with the Protectorate Warden and complete a quest.
- Access the western side entrance, across the river, and hope you don’t die of zyranium poisoning. Complete An Aegis Against The Miasma quest to acquire an armor that can temporarily protect you from the poison gas.
- Head to the eastern side of the area and jump on a sunken ship to reach the other side. However, you need a double jump to reach this area.
Once you are past the bridge, make your way to the area where you can find the Raptidon Matriarch. There will be other Raptidons in the area, so make sure you are well-equipped to handle multiple enemies. A good strategy is to focus on the smaller creatures first before focusing on your main target.
Best Graft Option for Inez in The Outer Worlds 2
Depending on the beats you hunt down, Inez will have a different ability from her new graft. Here is what each offers:
- Skeleton Crabble Graft: Inez can shoot shell shards that can penetrate through armor.
- Raptidon Matriarch Graft: Inez can enter stealth while in combat. Additionally, she can provide healing packs for you.
The Raptidon Matriarch graft is arguably the best option. This turns Inez into a supportive companion with healing capabilities. However, depending on your playstyle, you might want the extra damage from the Skeleton Crabble graft.
