In this guide, we shall go over how to implant Passive Skills on Pals in Palworld using the Surgery Table item.
The world of Palworld is fairly dangerous. Some of the Pals out in the wild are ridiculously strong and can even one-shot you if you’re not careful. To take them head-on, you need the strongest Pals, and if your Pal is not there yet, you need Passive Skills.
Passive Skills are skills you can assign to your Pal that make them stronger. These skills can increase your stamina, reduce skill cooldown time, lower sanity decay, boost attack, bolster defense, and so much more. For your Pal to be able to use the new Passive Skills, you need to implant them first, and you can do so with the new Surgery Table item in the game.
The Surgery Table, much as its name suggests, is an operating table where you can operate on your Pals. You can use this table to change their gender, but importantly, to implant new Passive Skills. As stated earlier, if you wish to implant Passive Skills on your Pals, you need to use the Surgery Table. You unlock the Surgery Table by reaching Technology Level 36 in the game. Once you reach this level, you then have the blueprint for the table. With the blueprint in hand, you can then craft the Surgery Table by using 30x Refined Ingots and 20x High Quality Cloth.
Once the table is crafted and set at the base, using it to implant Passive Skills is fairly simple. Bring your Pal over to the table and place them on top of it. Then, interact with the table, and it will open the Pal Operating Table menu. Here, you will see the option to “Transfer Passive” and “Change Gender.” You can switch between the two tabs at any time.
Under the “Transfer Passive” section, select the Passive you wish to implant and confirm the surgery. You’ll be charged Gold, and your Pal will come out with the new implant.
